Club Camera Tucson is a community of photographers who like to get together and show and talk about photos. We welcome people at all skill levels. The club meets twice a month and also has special interest groups in Digital Arts,  Portfolio Building and Black and White photography. Check the Calendar for dates and times of upcoming meetings.

Program: Dean K. Ketelsen – “Affordable Astrophotography”  

Dean will show how you can use lesser expensive equipment and software and still get great results.

Bio:
Dean grew up in rural Iowa and developed an interest in astronomy and the sky from an early age.  After an undergraduate degree in Astronomy and Physics, he moved to Tucson to work at Kitt Peak National Observatory.  In the mid-80s a career change to optics and a transition to the University of Arizona’s Steward Observatory Mirror Lab.  He has been photographing the sky since the film and darkroom days of high school, and loves nothing more than being under dark skies and trying to record what is out there…
