Trek to Patagonia Thursday, March 21, 2024 Update: We are ON for this Thursday! We will meet at the Paton Center for Hummingbirds, 477 Pennsylvania Ave, Patagonia, AZ 85624 at 8:30 am. Tom Brown, fantastic birder, naturalist and photographer, and site manager at the center, will meet with us at 9 am to help get us oriented to the center and what is new. We plan on going to the Nature Conservancy site south of the Paton Center later in the morning, and then to lunch at the Gathering Grounds, 319 McKeown Ave, Patagonia. Note: the Nature Conservancy Patagonia-Sonoita Creek preserve, just south of the Paton Center has an entrance fee $6, $3 for Nat. Conserv. members. Bring cash, they may not take cards. In the afternoon, those who wish can go to the Patagonia Lake State Park for birding. Entrance fee $15/vehicle. Boats for rent if you want to cruise the shore for photos ops from the lakeside.
